Covering an area of 45,000 square meters, the Museum of Islamic Art in Qatar stands as the final large-scale cultural building in the career of world-renowned architect I. M. Pei. As the most comprehensive museum dedicated to Islamic art to date, the structure is entirely clad in white limestone. Its reflection on the azure sea accentuates a breathtaking grandeur. Meanwhile, the facade’s Islamic geometric patterns and Arabic arched windows introduce soft elegance, softening and counteracting the structure's powerful presence.
