After its completion, the large plaza of Chengdu MixC faced the challenge of "flow without stay"—attracting high footfall but failing to retain visitors. To solve this problem, Runpin co-developed hexagonal colored inorganic aggregate stone, adopting Snow White and Nile Grey to create a soft, blurred gradient effect with natural transitions in multiple directions. After testing various materials, the R&D team worked closely with the client, conducting dozens of sampling rounds during the customization phase to meticulously control the stone’s color gradient and aggregate density, successfully completing the plaza’s renovation design in collaboration with the client and design team.
