What is terrazzo floor made of?

The floor surface is a blended material of resin or cement with an aggregate mix of marble or quartz and glass chips. After blending the mixture, the composition is stored in a basin (to cure), then ground and finally polished to create a continuous, durable, and visually appealing surface.
Compared to other hard surfaces, terrazzo does not require a lot of maintenance. Dusting regularly and mopping occasionally with a pH neutral cleaner will keep your terrazzo looking good; depending on traffic and the type of binder used, re-sealing will occur every few years.
Traditional terrazzo is most often seen in an indoor application, because it utilizes cement based finishing materials. However, resin terrazzo can also be used in sheltered outdoor areas.
