The 3rd Building Materials Industrial Design Innovation Awards is officially organized by the China Building Materials Federation, an institution that holds the distinguished titles of "5A National Social Organization" and "National Advanced Social Organization." As a preeminent authoritative, nationwide, and comprehensive industry association in China’s building materials sector, the federation is voluntarily established by a diverse array of enterprises, scientific research institutions, and social groups hailing from the building materials industry and its related upstream and downstream fields. Boasting a robust network of over 1,300 member units, its coverage spans a wide spectrum of sectors including manufacturing, technological R&D, product distribution, professional education, technical consulting, information services, standardization formulation, certification supervision, industry exhibitions, media communication, as well as architecture and real estate. Undoubtedly, the federation stands as the most authoritative representative of China’s building materials industry and social organizations, and its recognition through this award endows the honor with profound credibility and far-reaching industry influence.
Chengdu MixC, widely acclaimed as a iconic landmark of commercial aesthetics in Chengdu, has successfully emerged as a national benchmark for the development of "artistic commercial public spaces." Conceptualized and designed by the world-renowned Zaha Hadid Architects, the project adheres to the fluid and dynamic aesthetic concept of "Vast Ocean," which is vividly reflected in every detail of its design. Prior to this collaboration with Runpin, the project had already garnered industry recognition by winning the Silver Award in the Urban Renewal category at the 6th LIA Garden Masters Cup. As a large-scale and high-end commercial complex, the project has adopted Runpin’s specialized products across an extensive outdoor ground area of approximately 32,000 square meters, with the Snowflake Blue Series and Universe Grey Series being the core choices, perfectly blending with the project’s overall artistic style.
To perfectly align with the unique design vision of the Chengdu MixC project, the professional R&D and design team of Runpin carried out in-depth research and meticulous customization work, eventually launching the tailor-made Snowflake Blue and Universe Grey aesthetic product series. The team leveraged the brand’s cutting-edge 12-level color gradient customization technology, which enables the seamless transition between different shades. This transition is as natural and smooth as the ebb and flow of ocean tides, effectively enveloping the entire public plaza in a romantic and dreamlike visual ambiance. Furthermore, the team adopted flexible splicing techniques based on hexagonal modular units, which not only enhanced the construction efficiency but also ensured the integrity of the design. Through the seamless integration of these advanced technologies and design concepts, Zaha Hadid Architects’ abstract fluid aesthetic vision was accurately and vividly translated into tangible physical space, creating a stunning visual experience for visitors.
