Artificial Stone Quartz: Durable, Non-Porous Engineered Quartz Surfaces

Overview of Artificial Stone Quartz

Synthetic quartz stone (the other common name for engineered quartz) combines natural stone appearances with high performance durability. Engineered quartz is non-porous (meaning will not absorb water), stain resistant and will not scratch, burn, or become damaged by moisture. Colors and patterns will maintain their consistency throughout the entire engineered quartz surfaces. It is suitable for use in any kitchen or bathroom area (especially countertops and islands) requiring minimal maintenance; therefore, it is available in many colors and finishes to create coordinated kitchens.

Advantages of Artificial Stone Quartz

Exceptional Durability

Quartz engineered to be non-scratching, non-cracking, and non-staining ensures that even during the most extensive daily use, the surface of your countertop will stay beautiful. With its density, you'll find that engineered quartz will last through many busy kitchens and baths, require very little maintenance, and always have a high-end appearance.

Non-Porous and Hygienic

Moisture and bacteria build-up are limited by the non-porous surface, making clean-up quick and easy with a fresh, clean surface. Stains from oils, wine, and acidic foods are prevented while maintaining the slab's original colour consistency (the same across all slabs and through-out the world).

Low Maintenance and Easy to Clean

Engineered Quartz can be easily maintained, simply by wiping spills up with a mild detergent and water. Because of its sealed surface which is stain resistant and does not require sealing, resurfacing or waxing, your counters will maintain their like-new appearance with only minimal care.

Color Consistency and Design Flexibility

Engineered quartz will provide a consistent appearance with regard to its color and design throughout any batch or slab; and the minimal use of seams will be evident. It can either be streamlined with a simple contemporary design, or if more traditional in style, you can choose from a variety of finishes, edge profiles and thicknesses for your installation.

Artificial Stone Quartz

Artificial stone quartz contains both natural minerals and a quartz core that is bonded together. It creates a durable and non-porous surface that is resistant to staining from coffee, wine, and oil; is easy to clean; and does not require sealing. Artificial stone quartz is made with consistent color and pattern to ensure a wide variety of edges can be used and to allow for an entire kitchen, including sinks and backsplashes, to be installed in one installation, creating a cohesive and long-lasting installation. Artificial stone quartz also uses low-VOC resins.

F&Q About Artificial Stone Quartz

Is artificial stone quartz suitable for outdoor use?

Because artificial stone quartz is sensitive to UV light, indoor applications work best. If you are considering outdoor applications, keep in mind that color or texture will fade over time; therefore, use the right type of artificially manufactured stone that has been rated for out- door uses and high levels of sun exposure.
Engineered quartz is highly resistant to both heat and scratching when used daily within a kitchen. Engineered quartz will handle hot pots very well; however, proper use of trivets is still recommended. To prevent damage, do not subject to direct contact with flames or prolonged exposure to very hot surfaces.
It is also great in bathrooms because it does not absorb water and therefore will not stain. It is also very easy to clean, can be used with all vanities & showers, and maintains a similar appearance throughout the entire bathroom.
Cleaning is easy by cleaning spills quickly with mild soapy water and/or cleaning products. Do not use any chemical products that are too strong for your surface. Your maintenance does not require resealing because of a non-porous surface; therefore cleaning on a regular basis keeps your item looking newer longer!
